Tungsten Carbide Ball

Tungsten carbide is a hard and dense material known for its high strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance properties. It is commonly used in various applications where high performance and durability are required. The hardness and wear resistance of the material make it suitable for applications where there is high contact stress or abrasive environments.

Tungsten carbide balls are available in the following types:

Tungsten carbide balls features

The size of tungsten carbide balls can vary depending on the application, ranging from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter. They are available in different grades and tolerances to meet specific requirements.

YG6:
- YG6 is a grade of tungsten carbide with a cobalt binder. It contains 6% cobalt and 94% tungsten carbide.
- YG6 balls have a hardness of around 91 HRA, making them highly resistant to wear and abrasion.
- They are suitable for applications that require high precision and durability, such as precision bearings, valves, flow meters, ball screws, and gauging and measuring instruments.
- YG6 balls are also used in ballizing, where they are used to resize and finish the internal diameter of a hole.

YG8:
- YG8 is a grade of tungsten carbide with a cobalt binder. It contains 8% cobalt and 92% tungsten carbide.
- YG8 balls have a hardness of around 89 HRA, slightly lower than YG6, but still providing good wear resistance and impact resistance.
- They are commonly used in applications such as grinding media, spray nozzles, ballpoint pen balls, and precision tools.
- YG8 balls are also used in high-stress applications where their toughness and resistance to chipping are required.
